SEA KAYAKING AND BACKPACKING, EXPEDITIONS, SEA KAYAK JOURNEYS FOR ROCK CLIMBING ADVENTURES (deep water solo, trad climbing, bouldering on sea cliffs...)

The Mayak Expeditions is an exclusive guiding service in sea kayaking, backpacking and rock climbing. Daily or extended trips and expeditions are available with experienced and supportive guides. On all of our journeys we help you to develop your outdoor skills - how to survive, travel and to be safe in the wilderness.

The Mayak Expeditions also offers specially designed sea kayak trips such as „medicine journeys” where we focus on healing while introducing you into the world of Traditional Medicine.

Most of our scheduled trips are organized to the islands of the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. We can additionally organize longer once in a lifetime expeditions on the Sea of Cortez (Baja California) and in the Lacandon Jungle (Chiapas) in Mexico, among the fjords of Patagonia in Chile, around the distinctive island of Corsica, along the rivers in Canada and to the islands of Fiji.

Our trips encompass expedition-like journeys. We load all we need - food, water, camping and safety equipment into the kayaks, or our backpacks and start exploring. Each journey is unique and particular to each and every person. On the trips we will reach remote areas where we sleep in tents and cook on small stoves or on an open fire. Our groups are always small (eight people maximum) and we can also guide on a one to one basis if required. Beside our scheduled trips we are also able to plan your own private expedition, you have only to call for our assistance.

Our summer base camp is located in Starigrad (Croatia) at the foot of the stunning Velebit Mountains close to Paklenica National Park near to the sea. Part of our intention is to teach you outdoor skills and take you through a journey where you can learn how to do your own expedition, also to inspire you to spend more time in Nature in a simple and healthier way. We are happy to share our beautiful experiences with those who also wish to discover the beauty and mystery of Nature in a unique way.
